Established more than 20 years ago, Super Cereals is a leading agri-trade company distributing over 30 000 metric tonnes of cottonseed meal nationally and internationally.  Sourced from sub-Saharan Africa, Super Cereals has developed strong ties over the years, creating a seamless supply chain allowing customers to rely on our high-quality sourced product to feed the well-established agricultural industry in South Africa.

Super Cereals provides national and international distribution services for the supply of high-quality cotton oil cake. Our vision is to unlock agricultural potential, not only in South Africa, but Africa throughout – and in doing so, ensuring food security across the continent. Super Cereals has comprehensive and intimate knowledge of agricultural processes, and we track these agricultural records across South Africa.

HISTORY

The current CEO of Super Cereals introduced cottonseed cake into the South African agricultural sector when working for Kewalran Chanrai group in Nigeria. The introduction of this was due to the excess production of cotton seed from two oil mills owned by the multinational conglomerate Chanrai/Olam in Nigeria, at the time.

The same business in South Africa continued under different entities at different times such as Chanrai South Africa, Grindrod (Durban, South Africa), Hakan Group (Dubai, UAE) before being acquired by the private investment equity firm Afri Global in 2018.

The current directors of both Super Cereals and Super Oil Mills in South Africa and abroad are Ashutosh Shrivastava and Colin Cameron, while the current support staff continue operating under this administration.

Super Cereals controls and manages the aspects of the logistics from container loading, shipping, transportation and distribution to customers, nationally and internationally. Every customer is supplied with a product that is delivered timeously and in accordance with the highest of quality standards and specifications. We also manage and facilitate all of the production supplied by the Limpopo based refinery, Super Oil Mills. This includes cottonseed cake, cottonseed husks and refined oils.
